Kwanga / Chikwangue

It can be found on all tables in Congo and is served with both soups and grilled meat.

He is considered the little brother of the Cameroonian Bobolo, but the big brother of the Cameroonian Miondo.

Kwanga (also known as Nsessa) is made from fermented cassava (also called placali) and wrapped in banana leaves.

Its unique taste is not only delicious but also low in fat – and it can easily replace rice as a side dish.
